01 / THE CHALLENGE

How do you find a story inside millions of photographs? The New York Times archive held generations of images, with valuable information on the backs of the prints. Google Cloud helped turn that material into a searchable resource for the newsroom.

02 / THE IDEA

The challenge was making all of it discoverable. Google Cloud helped connect the image with its context, giving the newsroom a new way into its own history.

History, ready for its next story.

History, ready for its next story.

A real problem. A remarkable customer. A way to help other companies imagine what could be hidden in their own information.
